After hundreds of shop names and image possibilities, somehow, the Kingfisher bird won out.

Maybe it’s the beat-up mohawk, or the brash call and matching attitude, or the tenacious determination when conquering a meal by diving full speed under water from lofty heights. The Kingfisher boasts many conflicting characteristics that make it a truly unique specimen. It’s in these particular traits that we found common ground.

Kingfisher Collective was born from the unlikely meeting of like-minded individuals.

We are artists first. Tattooing is the medium we share. Each of us has our own brand of history that helped shape us as tattoo artists. It’s this eclectic mix of styles, in combination with mutual respect, the desire to learn, and the willingness to share that has brought us together. It has also become the basis for the warm and welcoming sense of something evolutionary.

We believe in the importance of time-honored and proven traditions, yet embrace the emerging new ideas and boundary-pushing tattoos that can only come from the diversity within tattoo culture and our desire to stay, not just relevant, but ahead of the curve.
