Our team of experienced piercers, take pride in delivering high-quality, custom piercing experiences that our clients love. We follow strict sterilization protocols to ensure the safety of our clients. Our studio is clean and welcoming, and our artists are trained in all aspects of safety and hygiene.
Clean your piercing 1-2 times a day with antibacterial/antimicrobial soap, rinse well to avoid dryness. For oral (mouth) piercings, clean the outside as directed in addition to rinsing with mouthwash after you eat/drink/smoke and abstain from oral activities with your partner during the healing process. It is possible to over clean!
Using sterile saline with warm water on your piercing area can help to remove plasma and build up. Saline soaks help with irritation and reducing bumps.
Bactine is antiseptic and can help at the first sign of infection, it also has lidocaine and can help to alleviate discomfort while the wound is still open.
Redness, swelling, tenderness to the touch, and the excretion of blood plasma build up.
Please text us starting with "piercing question" at 855-540-3816 if you cannot find an answer to your question.
The area around your piercing is swollen, painful, hot or discolored.
There's blood or pus coming out of it - pus that is yellow or green is a sign of infection.
You feel hot, shivery or generally unwell.
If this is occurring seek medical attention for antibiotics.
Most likely it is NOT a keloid. Keloids are permanent, irritation bumps commonly get mistaken for these. An irritation bump can be caused and dealt with in a few ways:
Jewelry is too small - this will cause pressure and irritation, size up to compensate for swelling
Jewelry is too long - this can easily get caught/snagged on clothes, hair, etc. Our original jewelry can be long in length for the healing/swelling process, size down once healed to prevent this
Poor aftercare - touching/moving it too much will just keep it irritated. Saline soaks once a day can help reduce bump.
Type of jewelry - if you are having an allergic reaction to metal it can cause this as well as other issues. Ensure quality of jewelry, or the website your on before purchase can help to avoid this
If you are no longer experiencing any pain, swelling, blood plasma build up or secretion. The area should be back to feeling normal or "un-noticeable".
It is best to allow your piercing to heal for the fun allotted time specified on your care sheet, before attempting a switch.
If you would like to switch out before the suggested time frame, we are happy to help! There is a small fee that comes with that.
Pools/ hot tubs and the ocean are fine, just keep an eye on your piercing for added dryness or irritation. also cleaning it when you are done is recommended.
Avoid "dirty" water; lakes, rivers and ponds while healing.
Avoid rough play, oral contact, and other bodily fluids during the healing process.
You can come in and discuss options and anatomy with one of our piercers! Either stop by or schedule a free piercing consultation.
